Search » Bernadette McLeavey
In working with a client, I try, as far as possible, to fit my therapy methods and treatment to the particular personality, needs and life situation of the individual who is with me. While my approach is mainly non-directive, I will give an opinion or guidance where that help is requested by the client. My counselling and psychotherapy work is humanistic and person-centred.
My accreditation is with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, The Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists and the Irish Council For Psychotherapy.
I have been working as a therapist in private practice for twenty-seven years.
Qualifications and Training
My primary qualification is a Masters Degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University, USA, (1983), followed by continuing professional development courses in the fields of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have recently completed a training in Jungian Sandtherapy.
